人吉（ひとよし）駅
明治４１年、開業。
昭和５２年に改築された、お城をイメージした鉄筋コンクリート駅舎。
駅前のお城はからくり時計、温泉を利用した噴水もある。
かっては肥薩線のＳＬの一大拠点であった。
