昭和９年、開業。

平成２５年に駅前広場が整備され、駅舎右手にあったトイレは左手に移動、駅前がすっきりし駅舎内もリニューアルされた。
平成２６年、駅カフェ＆お弁当の「キッチンゆら」が入店。
