2013年3月9日、荒れた海だったのでダメかと思いつつ、深夜の満潮を待ち続けた。すると、高速で押し寄せて戻っていく波の中にホタルイカの姿が見られた。程なくして浜に打ち上げられたホタルイカが確認できた。
